What you will read on this blog will, for the most part, be snippets of stories that are still unwritten, and might always remain so. At times fiction might be punctuated by posts expressing my opinion or some other flight of fancy (reality) that has gripped me on a particular day. Writing is writing is writing, right?
At the moment I have a total of two completed stories - one in dire need of editing and the other stowed away in a little folder on my laptop for the day it might be loved and appreciated. The rest of My Documents is littered with small pieces of stories, snippets in time and unused descriptions. Some of these I love dearly, and I will share them with you. My writing is at times gory and dramatic, and always aims to evoke the kind of rush I feel when reading some of my favourite authors.
So what you might see on my blog could include the following:
- small snippets of description or action
- observations from day to day life
- writing exercises
- articles I have written for Journalism and Media Studies, which will be marked but never properly published
- journalistic posts that focus on something weird or interesting I've stumbled upon.
